I spent some time speaking with Patterson Medical today. Patterson Medical connected me with a therapist that has a lot of interesting ideas about using Thermoplastics.
1. Thermoplastics are cut easiest with a water-jet cutter. She did not recommend using anything else unless we were talking about a drill press.
2. She gave me the contact for a splinting professional and rep. He will be able to provide us with detailed information about heat tolerance for thickness and material as well as how long we will have to work with the material when heated.
3. She had a few thoughts about thickness and what we are planning to do with this. She also mentioned our rep will be able to give us more detailed information.
